Our Original Rooms are on the second floor of the original 1847 coaching inn building. All rooms have access to our shady verandah with views across to Lake Huron. So, you can just step out of your room to admire the famous Bayfield sunsets where the orange setting sun slowly sinks into the glistening waters. Magnificent!
The Little Inn at Bayfield is Ontario’s longest continually operating Inn located on Bayfield’s Heritage Main Street. So every brick, beam and floorboard tells a story of generations of weary travellers finding a warm welcome, home-cooked food and a comfortable bed at the Little Inn.

- Original Room 12: Queen bed room for up to 4 people, with ensuite with soaker tub shower combination, double sofa, and direct access to upper verandah.
- Original Room 14: A queen bed room for up to 2 people with whirlpool bath shower combination, electric fireplace, access to upper verandah.
- Original Room 16: Queen bed room for up to 2 people with walk-in ensuite shower, access to upper verandah, and Main Street view.
- Original Room 15: King bedroom for up to 3 people with whirlpool bath shower combination, room for a cot, access to upper verandah, and Main Street view.

“This place is a real gem! The bed was super comfy and the room was absolutely delightful. Some things are showing their age, like chairs but I loved it!!! Staff is friendly and seem to care. What more can you ask for? How about a great meal? Not to worry!! The food is beyond delicious. Every choice the chef makes from offerings to how precisely food is cooked to their presentation. It is just so skillfully done. Hats off to the chef!!! You can’t get better and we travel to France and Italy often enough! We are accustomed to good food. Definitely coming back!”

Since we were celebrating, we even shared all 3 desserts, which were out of this world. Given the time of year, we were also very keen to hear the ghost stories from this old historical building. “If you’re looking for a quiet, quaint getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the middle of Bayfield, you are close to the lake and many unique shops in walking distance. The pace is relaxed and comfortable. The setting is a throwback to a simpler time when this inn was a stop for the horse-drawn stage coaches. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very attractive and a large, comfortable space.”
